This is a collection of my favourite videos about BJJ Solo Drilling from all over the web! Of course I want you to watch my own videos, but there are also some great videos out there about Solo Drilling, which you might find helpful. There are some awesome channels out there including ChewJitsu, Knight Jiu-Jitsu, The Grapplers Guide and many more. Enjoy!
Jason Scully always has a load of great free content. Here he demonstrates over 50 solo drills in just 12mins. Have a watch, why not screen record your favourites and add them to your routine.
This is a really helpful video from ChewJitsu. I especially like the back step, having a smooth back step is vital to guard passing and transitioning from side control towards taking the back. Don’t underestimate the importance of having this move down👍
This is one of my favourite BJJ Solo Drills videos of all time. This is the kind of fluidity in Movement that we should all strive towards. I often go back to this video for both inspiration and motivation, you should too! Enjoy These BJJ Drills👍
I like this from Knight Jiu-Jitsu. My big take home from this video was not necessarily the uniqueness of the drills but how well they are being performed. We should value the perfecting of technique over the amount of repetitions performed, or the conditioning effect of the exercises. Refining our movement will bring more progress in the long run than just conditioning, which can be raised in a fairly short period of time.
This sequence is way harder than it looks, most likely you will need to slightly modify it unless you are super flexible already. Once you can complete it in the same manner as this lady, give yourself a pat on the back, you have great hip mobility!
